So the neighbors are peering into the windows (why? naughty people, if it disturbs you, stop trying to violate the privacy of others – or stop trying to use your neighbors for porn, and apply for a membership). They are distressed by nonconformist clothing, being judgemental without caring to investigate, and are concerned that their children will trepass on private land (and considering their own manners, that fear does not surprise me).

In the US we have holidays (Halloween, Mardi Gras) almost DEDICATED to the wearing of unusual clothing and costumes! We even encourage little children to do this, and not just on holidays, but for an everyday form of play called “make believe”. Horrible, isn’t it? And we have this holiday called Valentine’s Day, when… no, it’s too nasty, I cannot say more.

Yes, there are adult-only appropriate activities, areas, etc. We don’t need to Disney-fy the entire world, making everywhere “G” rated, because some people cannot control or teach their children, and respect no one else’s interests or boundaries. IMHO they harm their children (and all of us as well) when they teach them to have disgust for sex, fear of diversity and others, and lack of respect for others and themselves. BDSM practitioners in my experience are into informed, competent adult consent; they are more thoughtful and careful about this in my experience than the vanilla world.
