The summer is approaching and so is the potential amount of BDSM parties, which all seems very interesting to attend. I am definitely not into fashion as I am a relaxed type of guy. But when it comes to attend a BDSM get together, then I am usually a bit picky. I am usually wearing a pair of leather pants (black), a nice t-shirt (also black), a long leather coat (yes…It’s black) and boots (guess what…..black).
The things I am wearing are not uncommon among the male dominant community. The latest thing I have been looking at is a leather shirt that would go nicely with the rest of my outfit.
But now I want your help, give me some advice on how I can change my existing outfit into something different. It should draw some attention, be different but still communicate a Dominant male look. Fetish clothes, boots, shirts, leather, latex etc. – Mix and match and stun me.
Help me out and post your recommendations as links in the comments to this post. Try to put a complete outfit together.

2)… as far as I know, clothing itself has no sexual orientation, and does not in fact change the orientation of any human who puts it on. Or dogs, even those that put on those cute little leather jackets.

Latex is sexier than leather.
How about the followig brown leather jeans with a tight short sleave t-shirt cream or brown. Brown leather shows that you can be dominant and sexy without having to go black and would make you stand out in the crowd which again would make everyone subcounsiously think your very self confident and therefore obviously more domiant, you dont have to add much really to this look in fact a nice leather bull whip would do the trick. This in my imagination kind of looks halfway been a strong army look and an indian jones look… cant go wrong really.

To be honest I think its the person behind the clothes that makes that person look dominant… its in their face, their body language when you talk to them, someone could wear a bright hawaian shirt and shorts and if you see that look in their eye or listen to them… youd cower and submit without hesitation unless you where looking for trouble… plus this is assuming the person looking is a subby.

I suspect whoever said “the clothes make the man” was in the business of selling them… myangel hit it on the head, echoing what a friend told me: she had been taken to task by a fellow Domme when working, naked, with 4 male subs (themselves in latex) at a club in the UK. Her response was something like:
“If you can’t Domme barefoot, you’re not a Domme at all…”
Which is not to say you should go naked to the party; while I personally favor black, brown amid a sea of black (and skin) might be an effective statement of individuality. A couple of years ago I met a guy who, to look at him, you’d likely take for either vanilla or a sub – to outward appearances, a wimp. But the woman with him was clearly his, and he is a published author with a “Master” nom de plume (don’t recall his name, sorry.)

Okay, I was asked by someone to explain why I thought the idea of Sir Stoltz wearing Brown Leather to a Leather Event was “highly entertaining”. In some circles (but not all) the wearing of Brown Leather by a Dominant is a Faux Pas and indicates to those in these circles that the person wearing the Brown Leather is one to avoid if possible. In these circles Brown Leather is something only “boys”, meaning gay submissives, wear while they are working towards recognition as a slave. However, it is an old protocol and one that is dying with each new generation of BDSM lifestylers so it will probably have little effect to wear Brown Leather in a young group of them.
Further, I would agree that the clothes do not, in fact, make the man or Dom, in this case and that you should be able to Dom in your birthday suit, if you are any Dom at all, and that is what you choose to do.
Hmm I knew it was an Old Guard rule not to mix brown leather with black – but had not heard brown was a sub/slave-in-training/on-trial color. Where was this the custom, LordSir?
As I said, it is old and hardly used anymore, though from time to time it still shows up in the gay BDSM community(well, at least here in the Southeast USA) as some of the decendants of the Old Guard try to carry on the tradition. You will occasionally find some gear in the gay leather shoppes made in the Brown Leather but usually when you inquire about it your just told that it is usually just for “boys”, but they don’t know why(or won’t tell you if they do), or that some old coot ordered it and then died before getting it. No one seemingly can point to an actual text historically describing this custom or tradition, it’s seems to just be a verbal one.
Interestingly though, as you pointed out, the aura or essence of the protocol still exists, though no one seems to know why.
Which makes it doubly amusing (and sad) to me.

Entry #4: This may be my last entry here for though there are many other vendors out there who make nice things I am hard pressed to find things that are of original design or thought. Finding fetish-style rubber boots or shoes for men has been particularly difficult to find. I chose these last two vendors for several reasons: 1. They made fun-looking fetish clothes that were also comfortable. 2. They still looked Dominant. 3. The clothes are made here locally in Atlanta, GA,USA 4.
