Recently some friends of mine also discussed cupping nipples or elsewhere. This technique uses mild heat to create a very effective vaccuum… Baby food jars, some burnable alcohol, lube for the jars before the warmed jars are applied to the target area… If one is interested, please DO research it a bit yourself; i have not experienced it directly. Burnable alcohol creates a considerable amount of heat – Which is not recommended. Blue flames are really hot, so this is not to be recommended as the glass itself is a good heat conductor.

Commenting late – one of the problems with baby food jars, cut plastic syringes, etc – is that even if you get a nice smooth edge, the rim does not have enough flare to get a gentle curve against your skin as it is sucked in.
